It was an odd place. Deep within the recesses of the temple, it waited. A light that should not have been gave depth and definition to pillars and paths. A soft blue glow, seeming to stem from the very air itself, filled the place, shimmering and sliding across the walls. Liquid light. Ephemeral. A calm filled the place, though darkness loomed in every corner. Threatening. Wanting. But the light remained. For without light, there can never be shadow.

But one figure was not quiet, standing silhouetted in the moons face, staring up

The areas around these two mountains were devastated, devoid of all animal and plant. All that remained was the ash and stone of the mountains.
Over time, the massive cliffs of the twin mountains collapsed in on themselves, creating one crater, separated only by a small cliff of rock and what remained of the two walls. Eventually, life bega
As with all great tales, this particular one involves not only love and loss, but a struggle of wills, a test of courage and loyalty. This is the tale of two Weyrs. One, to the north, a titan of military might, and one to the south, sly in its ways and words. Telgar and Ista. Always striving against the other, leaving all of Pern to feel the heat of blood spilt on virgin soil. This is tale of the two Weyrs, and the one to flee to the South to shield. This is the tale of Iayla Weyr.

Wow. Totally didn't realize it had been this long since I've updated this thing. Guess it's about time eh?
Well, lots of stuff has happened since July. Namely....college. It's what I expected and a bunch of surprises all at the same time. I've found a solic group of friends. It's amazing how fast you get to know people you're forced to live next to. I feel as if I've known my neighbor longer than I've known some of my best friends in high school. And I've known her for all of a month and a half. And she knows me just as well. I find it astounding. It's awesome, really.
But at the same time, the stress of my major is starting to g
And because I have nothing better to do with my time besides ice my stupid knee.

So yeah. It's obviously been a little while since I updated this stupid thing. Seriously, I've tried to update it like three other times, but every time my internet would die on me and I would lose the entire journal. And me being the lazy and easily-frustrated person that I am, didn't want to put up with writing it over. So this is the stuff you get, 3 months later. I have a lot to catch up on, so I'll make it brief.
May: AP testing sucked
Chem and Pre-calc finals were the easiest things ever
AP Lit teacher was a you-know-what
I stole my brother's old job at Terra Blanca Vintners
Bro got a new job at a Retirement Home as a Caregive
Haven't heard anything from you in a while...still, just figured I'd let you know that I finally got around to reading Pern. The books that my library had in stock, anyway, but that only leaves a couple out of the loop. Hope to see something from you soon!
